The analogy is worthless. Comparing a building to a human is ridiculous..... Check my last post for a valid analogy

Well I'll be damned. I posted this one [I thought ] but now can't find it . I guess it didn't take. If this is a duplicate ....ignore..

Long ,long time ago when I was in collage a friend of mine was a member of the UCLA philosophy dept.He taught a class called contemporary moral problems. The following is an analogy that was used for class discussion;

A famous musician was dying from a rare blood disease. You are kidnapped by a bunch of radicle musicians and hooked up to famous musician thus enabling him to utilize your blood stream to stay alive. The cops rescue you . But if musician is disconnected he will die. OTOH if he remains connected for nine months a new therapy will be ready and he survives.

The question is not. Do you disconnect?

The question is. Do you have the right to disconnect if you so choose?
