I hear you can't get a hotel room within 40 miles of Baltimore because of the fiber optic conference....and not too long ago, they couldn't get anyone to come to the conference. It's that New Economy, stoopid... <ggg>

OT> . . . . I am officially "ON VACATION" . . . .

. . . though I'll be checking in via my new Sony Notebook and wireless modem. . .

Been bit by the mouse. . .so I bought a minivan and am driving down to Florida. . . treating the family [wife and 4 teenagers] to DisneyWorld/Epcot/MGM, etc. and Florida beaches. I could use the break away from the markets and my PCs. . .[thats why I'm bringing the notebook, right?] I know this trip will be therapeutic. . .but I have my doubts on who will benefit most. . . or whether we will get much R&R. . .may need an extra week off after we get home.

Why do I suddenly feel like Clark Griswold?

I'll be meeting several of you along the way or at the park [Mar 18-24]. . .be sure to email or PM me with your phone numbers or itineraries. . . and we will do our best. . . . we love seafood. . .suggestions of the best family oriented seafood houses to feed the troops appreciated.

Cancelled Daytona Beach due to infestation of motorcyclists. . .primarily St. Petersburg Beach and all Disney Parks are scheduled destinations.

As always, some of our fine leaders, Kevin Shea, JLS [Julie], Carepedeum2000, American Spirit, Kaliico and others can answer questions and suggest plays. . .so things should continue in the same manner as always here. Lurkers are always welcome to break their silence.

I apologize for leaving many messages and emails unanswered. . .I'll be around somewhat tomorrow morning for any critical issues.

Best wishes to all . . .

. . . ON STOCKS: . . . .For the record: Biotechs started selling off 9 days ago [not today]. . .about the time we first sold them off. . .LPTHA has held up despite the markets . . . .nice consolidation. . .UQM still looking good today. . .. . .Don't forget that the PPI and CPI are out this week. . .and oil prices have been high for a while now . . .if there is evidence of trickle down inflation, due to higher transportation costs, we sell off bigtime. The tech selloff continues. . expect more up mornings due to hopeful retail buyers. . .then down afternoons with some nice bounces in the most popular stocks. . . but as the days wear on, the gap ups will be less the tech traders will get more scarce, the bounces will be weaker. . . on the other hand. . . momos with good news will fly as tons of traders all cram into the same issue, rather than spread out across many different ones. Don't stop thinking ahead of the markets. . .always asking why. . . and don't forget to Profit Often!
