Jim, I think many of the tech investors don't have too much non-tech in their portfolio (threw them out due to underperformance) and thus the tech meltdown may not impact the non-tech sector too much. No proof of course except the unbelievable performance of the techs indicates to me that nearly all the buying in the last 6-12 months has been in the techs and the non-techs have been a "source of funds" for thge purchase of the mania. Just a WAG of course.
