Hi Mark: It's a good article. I think Fred Dawson assesses the competitive landscape well. Ensemble Communications seems to have taken the lead in the development of the IEEE 802.16 broadband wireless standard. Presumably it is hoping to leverage standard compliance into market acceptance (this path proved very important for ADSL and ADSL-lite). Given that Ensemble has been funded by DMIC, ADCT and Intel, either DMIC or ADCT might be tempted to take it over to fill in its product line (DMIC missed completely the P-MP boat).
