Actually, I haven't paid attention to soccer lately. I spent 3 years in Peru as a kid and played a lot of soccer and followed the teams. I don't recall violence of the sort we're talking about here. Of course, I was there in the mid 60s, a slightly more genteel (on some levels) time.

You're saying the Argentines are just as bad as the Brits? I don't doubt you, but I can't imagine there is racist taunting like they have in Europe.
