I believe you are right. The MMs do hedge their bets. But what I was trying to say is that not all trades are done by investors. I was responding to a message that says everything is neutral since a buy has a sell. What I was trying to say is that the MMs sometimes have to take one side of the trade even if it is not profitable for them. I did not make myself very clear in that regard.

I was out of commission from about 1 o'clock until now. What happened? I was still a couple of days away from being ready for this drop. I was waiting until the end of expiration, then sell a bunch of covered calls to hedge the inevitable drop. Looks like I was too late. I am glad I am not under margin pressure anytime soon. I hope everyone is ok.
