If NMGC can put a multimedia chip in a notebook they just might be able to do it for a wireless internet device without draining the battery too quickly.
Its being done without NMGC.
Beware of NMGC's obligations to their fab's
Additionally when a company is growing economies are gained. When revenue goes the other way the opposit occurs.
NMGC's DVD effort is dead.
Re: Video cameras, I've got a Sony digital with the fold out color screen. Camera is quite small and will run for 5 hrs with the larger Li-ion battery, thus opportunity is probably limited to non-Sony mfgrs or industry needs are allready being filled by others.

RTS Re <<Mani, I am very sorry about your losses here.>>

Thank you. I have been heavily in semi's and optics over the past year so it has been really good.

Re <<There is little or no good news factored into the stock price.>>

Because there is none.

Re <<There are stocks all over the place in sectors with less going for them fundamentally than NeoMagic.>>

Name one! Neo has zero going for it as far as fundamentals are concerned. In all your post you have not once mentioned why fundamentally NMGC is a buy. The "it won't go any lower since it has lowered so much already" doesn't count. They got no product or a hot technology. Just some cash and large burn rate for that cash.

Re <<If NMGC can put a multimedia chip in a notebook they just might be able to do it for a wireless internet device without draining the battery too quickly.>>

That has already been done. NMGC is already too far behind and they have not even started yet. They spend all their time on the NMG6 and NMG7 and the DVD drivers. All of them have been disasters. The only glimmer of hope is the products for the digital cameras. Even that is way late compare to what the management promised to investors. I never shorted stocks before, but if I were going to start, I would start with NMGC and its crooked management.
