we should all strongly urge tekboy to move his entire portfolio into 100% cash.

Fooey on the cash ... buy wine!

Everybody's okay, 100. We're just sittin' back enjoying your humor.

For those feeling a little blue, a little perspective ...

The Naz is STILL on a tear!
This weekend it was up almost 25% year-to-date. Now it's "only" up 15%. And we're only two-and-a-half months into the year for goodness sake!

We're all one up on Buffett.
In his annual letter he wrote, "Our problem -- which we can't solve by studying up -- is that we have no insights into which participants in the tech field possess a truly durable competitive advantage." Anyone wanna invite Warren over here to learn a thing or two about that?

For the entire 1999 letter just out: berkshirehathaway.com

So what if at next year's meeting we'll be drinking Thunderbird instead of Opus? :-)

JB, when I read this on the NTAP thread I LOL'd. By the end of the day I was having these nightmarish thoughts of
being at a table during next years luncheon and pouring a bottle of Opus but isntead of exquisite Opus exiting the
bottle, out came this putrid pink liquid with partially decomposed grape leaves and then when my horror stricken
face looked at the Opus label it eerily peeled away to reveal it's true identity
THUNDERBIRD. LOUD SCREAM.

Look at the bright side. When you're in your drunken stupor, you're much more likely to notice a screw top than a cork when you try to repeatedly pour from the unopened bottle! :-)
