About the only company to gain Tuesday was flash memory
maker Sandisk (SNDK:Nasdaq - news - boards). Its shares
rose 14 1/2, or 12%, to close at 139 1/2 on an upgrade from
Merrill Lynch from accumulate to buy based on a shortage of
flash memory chips for cell phones.
(from Street.com talking about the chip manufacturers).

Imagine if the NAZ hadn't been down 200!

"I wouldn't call MP3 the 800-pound gorilla," Mr. Doherty said. "It's more like a pack of hundreds of mischievous chimps."
