Correct, but Allegra, Zyrtec, Claritin are very expensive, and OTC alternatives such as Tavist-1 are out there. The OTC ones are relevant in that they serve the same purpose and target the same patients. To the extent that prescription medications are "free" to consumers who have insurance premiums that cover their costs, then cost will often be a non-issue. Just ask someone to pay for Allegra him(her)self, however.
