true, but the Genomics firms must have been aware of that risk. the same goes for the 'investors' (gamblers) who bidded these stocks to the stratosphere. after all they didn't 'invent' the genome...they're merely trying to map it, with the stated goal that effective drugs may be invented as a result of their insights. they can always patent those drugs. the genome doesn't 'belong' to anyone.

When things go bad, the human always seems to look for someone to blame for their own misfortune. It could get ugly if things get worse. <ggg>

On the serious side, just a few minutes ago I looked at Asia and most markets are down over 1% and all the precious medals are trading like nothing is happening. Interesting..
