Ok. Many web sites have been reporting that Thunderbird will be introduced in May. AMD has said by the end of Q2 (assuming late June). I am sure that Intel knows that Dell can not afford to stay loyal for more than a month or two after the T-bird is released if Intel doesn't have a competitive product out. I think we can count on limited volumes of Willamette being shipped to Dell in the July-August time frame.

My exit strategy on AMD is to hold until Willamette benchmarks are published on the web. If they blow away T-bird, and a competitive Mustang is not near release, I will then dump my AMD. Until then, I'm holding strong.

Pravin.

What really amazed me was that I ordered on Wednesday and had it in town yesterday. They said they couldn't deliver a fast PIII that quickly. In fact my guy laughed and said they might not be able to deliver any because they weren't available and he didn't know when they would become available. Looks like Intel still having problems "meeting demand" I didn't get Windows 2000 though. Has anyone used it yet?
