Bland, why do you refer to yourself in the third person?

Curmudgeons invest anyway they damn well please. Curmudgeonhood is earned without striving for it. It happens. I can't tell you about our grades and steps. Its none of your damn business.

If you are not a curmudgeon, then you should probably lurk.

Aren't curmudgeons "supposed" to be rude?
YES
Do they invest differently from non-curmudgeons?
When I hit that enter key on a buy/sell... I always perform a noisy bodily function...or at least a grunt.
Is curmudgeonhood to be considered as something worth striving for?
Definitely! I am constantly aspiring to greatness of crumudgeonhood that my adequate elders have.
...is it something one is simply born to?
It is the grace of God, bestowed apon a precious few, who have grown above youthfull foolishness.

Bland is a bit confused here by the rules here. Aren't curmudgeons "supposed" to be rude?

In a grumpy sort of way?

How are curmudgeons defined here? Do they invest differently from non-curmudgeons? Is curmudgeonhood to be
considered as something worth striving for? If so, how is it achieved? Are there grades or steps, or is it something one
is simply born to?

Just curious questions from a passerby, who is obviously too bland to be a curmudgeon himself.

Blandbutmarvellous

First of all, anyone who calls themselves "Blandbutmarvellous" cannot be a curmudgeon (they can be many things, but curmudgeon is not among them).
Secondly, the statement "Bland is a bit confused" is anti-curmudgeonly in it's essense (maybe if Bland didn't think of him/herself in the third person, they wouldn't be so confused).
Finally, the attitude of this list can be summed up by the old joke about the tourist in New York who went up to the New Yorker and asked, "Excuse me, but can you direct me to the Empire State Building or should I just go f%ck myself?"

Dr. Id, who along with his cohorts lost a sh$tload of money today and is feeling megacurmudgeonly.
