QCOM-JDSU-- OLD ECONOMY---NEW--ECONOMY
Briefing.com Chief Equity Analyst Tells Listeners Where to Invest Their Money in an Exclusive Interview With the IT Radio Network

BUSINESS WIRE - March 15, 2000 07:18
LOS ANGELES, Mar 15, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- "What we've really seen take place is that the individual investor is becoming a much bigger force in the stock market because of the reduced cost of trading, as online operations have sprouted up like E-Trade and Charles Schwab On-Line," said Bob Walberg, chief equity analyst for Briefing.com.

In a recent interview with IT Radio Network, Walberg discussed the old economy vs. the new economy, and today's hot stocks to watch.

"We're hearing a lot these days about talks of the old economy versus the new economy," said Walberg. "The old economy being the Procters & Gambles, McDonald's and Ralston Purinas of the world. And the new being Qualcomm, Nokia, CommerceOne, Ariba, and you definitely want to make sure that's where the growth is."

During the interview, Walberg also discussed some of the stocks he's excited about, and the hot stocks to watch.

"In business-to-business, (the hot stocks are) CommerceOne and Ariba; in the wireless area, Qualcomm, Nokia; and the emerging names like Puma Technologies," said Walberg. "And if you're looking at the optical network group, JDS Uniphase is an emerging leader, and then Agilant, which is a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard, looks very nice."

The entire interview is available free online in RealAudio and text formats at www.ITRadioNetwork.com.
