Bingo! Recent checks tell me that Q1 has all the signs of sold-out conditions (even Athlon at higher speed grades seems to be in short supply). There is not much reason for either the OEMs or the CPU vendors to do much advertising.

Two months back when I predicted $1 EPS, I was basing my estimates on $1.05B to $1.1B in sales but now I think there may be upside to this (assuming AMD saw the uptick coming and increased wafer-starts). Unless there has been significant erosion in Athlon ASPs, $1.1B+ in Q1 is likley.

The EPS range now looks like $1- $1.50 to me. I am looking to add to my position leading into options expiration.
