Good morning everyone,

These are interesting days aren't they. I went to cash late last week and struggled these last two days. In the face of blood being spilled all over the world I was looking for buying opportunities. This was knee-jerk bullishness and is silly. I was fighting the tape.

I am now back at 75% cash and will not be trading today. The overnights are ugly again this morning.

Just wanted to echo the sentiment that the lack of fear seen on some of the other threads is surprising. The general response is that this is a buying opportunity. NOT.

The Taiwan election is Saturday. If their is a bullish rebound on Friday afternoon after some initially bad reaction to Thu/Fri PPI/CPI, then there is a great setup for a heck of fall on Monday if the election goes to the pro-independence candidate.

I have shifted my focus to looking at puts on some of the Canadian high-flyers. IMO the time has come for some insurance.

cheers. --Allan
