Roger, this is obviously pretty "forward" thinking technology; however, with utilities deregulating I think i can see where they are going with this...seems like the ability to pick and choose power options/costs...haven't synthesized it yet.

I'm sure they will have it set up as a monthly billing that can be done online. Right now I have bills that are paid automatically. CKFR and INUT are setting up so you bills arrive online, you click a button and presto you pay them. I MOT/ELON power line meter reader as a perfect use for the above. More important then all this is that they are sending data over the power lines. This is the first use I have seen that will be commercialized that uses the nations power lines as data networks. Think of those house that have power. Like 99% are data ready..
