I did not say they are unnecessary. I said some of the included software is not necessary to ME and many others. Yet ALL OF US are required to purchase it! Neither you or I are forced to purchase tobacco. (thank God)

You miss the point. It doesn't matter who receives what and who pays what. If the overall quality of the basket of government services declines and the overall cost of them goes up that is telling me something. Quality improvement is captured in the private sector, but quality decline and increased cost is not captured on the public side. With government at all levels equaling about 40%....
