The disappearance of what you call "weak hands" isn't necessarily a good thing.

Investors, strong or weak, which leave the market means fewer investors to buy your expensive shares once you decide to sell. And fewer investors buying your shares equates to lower prices for your shares. Eventually, if enough investors, strong or weak, leave the markets your expensive shares will no longer be expensive.

Therefore, it is not in your interest to shake off investors.
