NEW YORK, March 15 (Reuters) - Wit
Soundview analyst Matt Specker raised his rating on computer disc drive
maker Seagate Technology Inc. on Wednesday to buy from hold.

-- set long-term price target of $90.
-- fiscal 2000 earnings outlook unchanged at 50 cents a
share.
-- fiscal 2001 earnings outlook unchanged at 77 cents a
share.
-- shares up 15/16 at 66-1/2.

Robert -

Perhaps Maxtor's news of high demand, higher capacity (higher margin)drives and higher profits will convince the analysts that the disk drive business is not going to suck all the value out of the other investments.
