WIND just struck again late this afternoon; they made a strategic investment in Highlander. One of Highlander's products--"Visibroker is based on the common object request broker architecture (CORBA) and is the most widely-deployed CORBA implimentation with more than 30 MILLION licenses worldwide. Visibroker is used extensively in the telecommunications field, in flexible network management and other infrastructure applications. CORBA allows devices to communicate through an open standard and is one of the major distributed object infrastructures." "Visibroker embedded object request broker (ORB) is compatible with WIND RIVER RTOS.
