<<<If you respect our opinions so little, why do you care so passionately that we understand yours perfectly?>>> DMA, it is a bit much to ask that someone respect an opinion that they said something they did not say, and respect those who reiterate that accusation after it has been proved a lie! Below is pasted the post to which you reply with that question. But, DMA, there is really a truth in what you say. I do not respect the prevailing ethic of argumentation here, and so should not care what misrepresentations are made here. So I will paste, one more time, the essence of the utterly absurd events that have transpired here in a silly and pointless but concerted effort to prove that I expressed a sanguine attitude toward a Gore presidency, which I did not; and then depart the thread. (Leaving open, of course, the option of dropping by now and then for the fun of it! To quote the immortal JLA: LOL!)<<<Gee, that position is hard to reconcile from someone who said they could live with Gore.>>> I asked you to show me where I said this. You didn't because you made it up. That is disreputable, JLA. Even if I had said I would vote for Gore under protest, that would have been a different statement than the one above which you dishonestly attributed to me. The one above implies to any literate reader a degree of reconciliation re a Gore presidency not expressed or felt by me. Please come here and acknowledge that you made the above attribution up, have looked through all the posts I'd written up to that date, and have been unable to find anything buried in my unrelievedly negative comments about the Gore liar/probable criminal that gives your lie cover. What's more, in a post following your above lie (not preceding it), I was asked for whom I would vote. Even then, I said I would decide on election day which of the candidates were less dangerous to the country, but I might not be able to bring myself to vote for either the scoundrel or the idiot in any event, in which case I will either vote for Nader, or, more likely, not vote in this election. I have also said that I would probably vote for the candidate opposite to the one who will most likely control the congress. I believe I said, about that, "I like to put a spoke in their wheel." In fact, I suspect I will be forced to stay home....
