I just called Boatman's. They were acquired by NationsBank several years ago and subsequently sold their transfer operations to Bank of NY. The woman I spoke with said that because the stock of the company in question is in the insurance industry and is in receivership, that its stock would be managed by the insurance company of the state it is licensed in. I'm not sure if that means Louisiana or, more likely, Maryland.

John Hansen, Goldstein's assistant, told me that LifeOne's current transfer agent is American Securities Transfer & Trust.
