Unfortunately, the board is probably right, there is little you can do in terms of recourse vs. E*Trade. I would definitely talk to supervisors and managers until I received some sort of compensation for the delay.

And it is often true that the delivering broker is often at fault for the transfer. Did you attempt a full account transfer (through the automated NSCC ACATs system) or did you transfer a partial account, or from a small broker? I used to work at a large brokerage firm, and often found that the least experienced people would be put into the Outgoing Account Transfer departments. It was a nightmare dealing with a lot of these people.

Next time you need to transfer accounts, transfer the entire account at once. It should then go through NSCC, the National Securities Clearing Corp. and then be required to be completed within 5 business days.

What did I tell you about the mentality of the typical E-Groupie long? I need you would get nothing but insults from them for your EGRP woes.

Any hint of a bad company and they jump all over you with personal attacks. Sim Chambers is representative of the their pack animal instincts. Here's another sample of his bile.

However, take comfort in knowing that he is losing his ass in EGRP since the boy was probably long from $72. For that, I can only laugh at his misery since he obviously deserves no sympathy judging by his invective posts.

One tip to make your money back...buy some EGRP puts on any run up. You can bet that EGRP will give up its gains. Today was rather an aberration, and is a great time to sell covered calls or buy puts.
