re:"When this thing starts moving up again, I think it will move fast."

Comment: AMD is way way oversold and off $10 from its high of 1 week ago! Support at $48.50 was tested and held. It has already begun its rebound back towards $60. Look out if it trades above $50.25 and New York remains strong...There may be hope yet for my March 50 calls!

Pravin,

re: 3 month charts

I think they are fairly meaningless.

This puppy trades on news, rumour and innuendo.

There is so little "real" info out there that this stock is so volatile.

And AMD doesn't help as it provides absolutely minimal guidance.

I think everybody figured that flash would be up so that points to the $1bn quarter.

The real issues of Dresden yields and Athlon volume ramps are shielded in mystery.

regards,

Kash

Comment: Still banging away at that $50.25...Once through decisively, next stop is $53.25! I'll be happy with a close at $50.25 or better today!

Pravin, re:<Looking at the 3 month chart for AMD quote.yahoo.com, it looks like you should buy at the end of the month and sell at the middle of the month>

Good eye! Did you also notice that the volume is following the same monthly cycle? When volume drops the stock weakens.

Tough nut to crack at $50.25 today...All in all though, AMD did all right compared to TXN (-9-1/2) and many other teck stocks today...The NAS correction, now at 10%, has hopefully run its course and a firming NAS base at 4500 to 4600 will provide the base from which oversold stocks like AMD can renew their upward march!
