MUMBAI, MARCH 15. The U.S.-based mass transfer products company, Koch-Glitsch Inc. (KGI), is planning to invest $10 million (over Rs. 43 crores) in the next few years as part of making India a global outsourcing hub for its products and engineering designs.

``KGI will outsource at least 30 per cent of its global annual requirements of over $200 million (over Rs. 860 crores) of products from Koch-Glitsch India Ltd's (KGIL) Baroda facility in five years, by phasing out a part of the parent's European operations," KGI European companies president, Mr. Urban Monsch, told PTI.

The company's outsourcing centres were located in the U.S. and Europe now, he said. KGIL was a joint venture between KGI and Mumbai-based Topack Industries and was known as Glitsch Process India before it was converted into a wholly-owned subsidiary, the process of which was completed by February 17, he added.

KGIi would also introduce all the high-technology products of the company, which were not produced under earlier dispensation, he said adding ``as part of this move we are increasing the strength of technical staff at the Baroda facility from the present 30 to 120 people in the next three years".
