Dear David: We might not be standing on the podium for winning earnings right now, but CPQ is doing alright.

It's time like this that I am glad I am somewhat diversified. With the exceptions of SUNW and QCOM, _every_ tech stock I hold is down, some a LOT. In contrast, _all_ my bank stocks that have traded today [a few tiny local ones do not trade every day] are UUUUUUP!

Regards,

Lynn

To all: David, I have been pondering that thought of rotation all day as I watched the DOW skyrocket. You know what, I think its a head fake. Here is why I say that. IMHO the market now is momentum driven. How in the devil can companies which MIGHT grow their earnings 5-10% annually attrack over time momentum investors? There no longer are enough long term VALUE investors left to support a market like we are used to the past 5 years or so. I dont think the market overall can do well WITHOUT the techs with their average 20-30% earnings growth. So, I am predicting the tech sector will come back soon and when it does with a vengance. JMHO of course. JDN
