Ok, this is gonna sound really lame, but I figured any scrap of good cheer might be appropriate after the last three days... Anyway, a trustworthy friend of mine found himself chatting with a knowledgeable TV Guide source recently, and told me that the guy was very bullish on the future of the combined entity, and that TV Guide had spent a lot of time poking into the validity and worth of Gemstar's patent rights and had come away quite satisfied. I realize this is vague anonymous third-hand hearsay, but hey, at least no one's gonna sue me for posting it... :0) tekboy@stillholdingallthosecalls.com
