hohoho...Tad bringing his razor sharp analysis to the table.

Intel to Purchase Giga for $1.25 Billion
nytimes.com

That concern is echoed by Tad LaFountain, an analyst at Needham & Co. "How much do they have to pay for these acquisitions (whatever it takes to mask their anemic growth???)? Is there an economic justification there (ummm, yeah, to pimp their stock price, duh)?" he asks. After all, Intel is paying $1.25 billion for a company that recorded revenue of 190 million Danish krone or $24.7 million, in 1999...

...Giga employs about 100 people (hmmm, what a effen bargain, only $12.5 million per person). In 1999, the company reported pretax profit of 102 million Danish krone (for those of you who don't know that's 7.7087 krone per US dollar for a whopping pretax profit of $13.2 million). Giga was founded 12 years ago.
