William: I don't post when it is difficult for me on the road (especially in Vietnam and China -- although I found free internet service in China last week) or when I am too busy, or when I have nothing to say -- ok, sometimes I post when I haven nothing to say. On Sunday your time (Monday my time in Japan) I saw the writing on the wall and started posting about the way this week would go -- sharply down. You only notice me AFTER it has gone down and always assume I am posting BECAUSE it is going down. And we are now down quite a bit for a three day period -- certainly the largest three day drop that I can recall. The issue is, now what? The futures are up and all is clear? I don't think so. I expect this to go down as one of the worst weeks for tech stocks ever -- and possibly one that will set a new standard for 'down' markets. But lets be honest, it might take longer than a week to bring this puppy to heel. Lets see how we do this week.
