You left out "to protect *nTeL's near monopoly of the market." If you can't beat'em with engineering then turn it over to the dirty tricks department.

Paul,

It has a duty to its shareholders to insure that companies such as Cyrix and AMD do not steal its property and profit from the hard work and creativity of Intel engineers.

Cyrix's greatest achievement (besides MediaGX) was that they never lost a lawsuit to the evil empire.
