Greeting Steve, Thank you for your post. You quoted; Ephesians 2 8 <<< For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. No man can save himself, only God's saves us, through OUR FAITH! Faith is a gift of God and not from ourselves! One must accept the gift of faith to be saved! That's why God gave us so much scripture, as I provided to you in my last post, about us having to accept the gift. If you deny this, you deny a whole lot of scripture!>>> Can't you see Steve that what you are saying violates the Word of God. You are the one denying the integrity of the Holy Scriptures since you have not seen the true condition of your flesh and you place very much confidence in your cursed flesh You are saying that an unbeliever can " accept the gift of faith " in his natural fallen state. If that is so then this choice he made ( in his fallen flesh) is very good The scriptures say " not of works ", that means not by some decision you made by choosing the gift of faith. John 1:13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, but of God. The Word of Almighty God CLEARY stated that our "flesh " is hostile to God and " in the flesh dwells no good thing. You have completely missed what I have tried to convey to you my friend because you have been taken captive by this doctine of demons. I believe and personally know that God's Spirit caused me to be made alive with no help whatsoever from me ( flesh). The Word of God that was planted in my heart by the grace of God came into fruition and then out of God choosing me to inherit Salvation ,I responded and came to Him. Take care, In Christ Robert
