Folks, I just got the most heartening e-mail from a lurker. In the process of trying to get the correct IRR spreadsheet to the person, I learned that s/he doesn't know what Excel is, much less what version of it might (or might not) be on the computer. Think about it. If our thread can help put technology in perspective for someone who knows so little about it, we are doing a WORLD of good here. As much as we like to joke about people getting rich and retiring around here, my deepest thoughts will always go to the person who is just beginning to learn about technology and is investing the very first few dollars at the beginning of a lifetime of saving. --Mike Buckley
