indeed...however, the macro-economic environment has changed a lot since then. back in March last year, oil prices and ST interest rates were at quite different levels. also Greenspan hadn't yet embarked on a tightening spree (i know it's debatable how effective that is). and the market didn't have a liquidity deficit, and margin debt was a lot lower,...you get my point.
anyway, that doesn't necessarily mean that the scenario can't repeat to some extent. although i doubt it will really be similar.
