Dear levy:

The new HQs are not ready for occupancy as I understand it, so there is not likely to be any party there yet, let alone a world-renowned one. When I last was in
Seattle all there was on the ramshackle old pier and building was a banner proclaiming it would be Go2Net's new home. The No. 2 incentive for working there is hilariously funny. The pier is on Elliot (Sp?) Bay, a part of Puget Sound. Those waters are so cold that even in a full wet suit a human could not survive more than a few minutes. (I am licensed to practice minor hyperbole). It is possible, yea, even probable, that Bob would have invited you, but Q is very concerned about your campaign for the position and, it is rumored, inked an X in the NO box when your name came up on the list of invitees. Life is not fair.

Faithfully, your friend,

Sy

Hi all --- earthquakes.

Yes this is quite the anti-stock. Market up GNET down, market down GNET up. I kinda think you all are a bit greedy. The chunk of this stock that I purchased about a year ago is up 25%... even after the downturn earlier this week. now, come on. 25% in a year is very very good. This is more and more a value stock. If you truely want a [justified] double in the next couple months go somewhere else. I am happy if we just plod along and I am at a 50% gain by the end of this year.

We are coming up on the time the initial 100 long posts were made.... let's wait to the day and then do an 1st annual long's recount.

I do have one concern about the future of GNET. If they move down to the pier, what happens in an earthquake. I think this makes us extremely vulnerable to something we cannot control. Can we get a confirmation that if HQ goes underwater, all the site will continue on unharmed.

levy, SY is right...the building is nowhere near completion and I can't wait to see them try to stuff 400+ employees into it.
It is a great area though......in the summer they have concerts on the pier right down the road. (The Allman Bros. rocked there FYI) Can you imagine working late at the office with the window cracked open to a 26 minute version of Whipping Post live outside ?

Hey Playa, I know you're reading this....how's your "pick of the month" RRRR treating you....LOL!
