Greetings Steve, Thank you for your two posts which I will answer to separately, in order to keep things short and easier to follow. You said; <<< But accepting the gift of faith is a spiritual decision provided to us by God. iIt is a decison made outside of our sinful nature. I explained that a long time ago, in many, many posts. The faith is from God, the providing the opportunity to make a decision is from God, and making the right decision is from God, through predestination and ALSO...>>> <<< it is a decison made outside of our sinful nature.>>> That is more of your humanistic thinking Steve. Mankind is what the Bible say of him.......DEAD to God. We did not exist outside of our sinful natures. We are creatures stranded in time and we were born with our sinful nature and we will die with our sinful nature. Any decision we make with our wills ( part of mans soul) is directly under the dominion of Satan, since we are fallen. I do recall you talking abour some ridiculous hyperthetical scenarios how you think God did some things to bring this about..............I totally refute that according to the Word of God. Almighty God can do all things but one thing for sure He cannot violate His Word, praise His most Holy name. Do you not understand that the ENTIRE man spirit, soul and body was plunged into death when Adam used his sovereign will to rebel against his creator. Mankind is dead to God outside of Christ............zero communication with God. How do you think you can make a " good " spiritual decision outside of our human nature?................. since we are dead in our sin. The choices we make come from our sinful nature.........there is no other way my friend. The WILL of man resides in his soul along with his mind , intellect and emotions .............remember now our soul is dead to God and is part of what the Bible says is our " flesh" " It is hostile to God and in it nothing good dwells". God by His grace causes His Word to blossom in our " hearts" ( spiritual, good ground ) and when fruition takes place we are " drawn " by the Holy Spirit, to submit our wills gladly and with great joy to the King. This " eternal Life " is far greater than the life we received from Adam. We have been made partakers of the divine nature by the grace of God alone. Our eternal security is forever settled. God's Word is spirit and life. This Word regenerates our hearts ( spirit) and then we exercise our wills ( soul ) to walk forever with the Lord ( both ups and downs ). This is the reality of a promise God gave to His people under the Old Covenant; " Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. " Notice who puts the law in the " inward parts ", God alone ...........certainly not man. You said; << through predestination and ALSO ....>>> All believers have been predestined by God............there is NO ALSO. Where did you get that from? This is becoming very repetative and tiring to say the least, I'm sure you feel the same. I'll close now and wait for you to respond before I respond to your post # 30006. Take care and God Bless , In Christ, Robert
