And why they rejoice when others are in pain...???

If there is a bubble, then it either gets larger or it bursts. When it bursts, the size of the damage to the economy is in proportion to the size of the bubble. Therefore, it is better for the economy for the bubble to burst as early as possible. Since I believe that the techs are in a massive bubble, I hope that the bubble will burst as soon as possible for the benefit of the economy.

Here's the analogy: A man is climbing up a rope which is on fire at the bottom. As he climbs higher and higher, the rope beneath him burns away. Sooner or later he must fall. You would hope that he has the good sense to fall sooner rather than later to minimize his damage. So it seems that you're a jerk for hoping that he drops off the rope, but really you're looking out for him.

Hi Happy: My view is make money and keep it. If you buy a stock that runs up to absurd valuations, sell it instead of touting its ability to grow to infinity. There is a time for capital preservation. Now is that time. I don't rejoice when people lose money -- I make the suggestion to sell to avoid losing money. I have "disliked" few stocks -- AMZN is one that I always had a problem with for reasons we have all reviewed a hundred times. I saw a really strong sell signal last weekend and came on the thread and said "sell". That is all.
