>>That's great to see from a CEO of a huge company -- ability to understand the direction of networking technology and then ACTING on it to take a dominant position.

Yes, everyone knows Chambers is without peer in that respect, among others.

So of course Roth is trying to ape Chambers and Cisco. The pretenders always do. Even Roth can see who's best. Appears Cisco is buying the talent and companies that relatively poor NT really can't afford - 20-25 in the next 12 months alone.

I understand that Cisco is making its presence felt right in old NT's backyard. No wonder NT is having a comparatively hard time keeping talent vis a vis Cisco. Remember, besides being so much richer, Cisco is ranked as the #1 tech company to work for while NT is at the very bottom of the list - last place - #100 of 100 if I recall correctly. Cisco will do to NT what Cisco has done to all others before.

btw, NT will be under huge pressure when all that NT stock hits the market - which is why they have the campaign/road show to unload it.

... how much would Hitler have paid to BUY Einstein's brains/talent at the height of WWII when US and Nazi Germany were trying to build the first atomic bomb? ...

Not much, IMO. Didn't Hitler let Einstein emigrate from Germany to US just prior to WW2?
