Steve, you don't have to INVEST in anything to short SUNCOM. That's not an excuse. You get proceeds from your short that u can use to MAKE your investments ( if you can call rmbs here an "investment). I've put my MOUTH where my money is on suncom. Nothing you are saying is new to these people. In fact, I have been saying EXACTLY the same thing for three years. You might call me visionary in that respect. So, if it does happen, being late to the party won't get you many kudos around here, from bulls or bears.

Steve Lee: Then why waste your time quarreling with and trying to demean people here? Neither long nor short but camping out, going out of your way to attack aspects of peoples' postings?

>I haven't shorted SUNW because there are better investments out there.

What has gone so wrong for you in the real world that you require total strangers in cyberspace to form an opinion that will make you feel good about yourself?

>I see my posts here as a public service and as a way to build credibility as and when the majority of my assessments
are proven correct (I've been pretty accurate with SUNW so far).

How can you build credibility when your mode of posting has been to belittle the poster him or herself rather than a detached reply that presents a quantifiable and/or qualifiable counterview? You even reject actually put-down twister, also down on SUNW, when he makes overtures of collegiality.

Thus far, all I see in your postings are attacks the basis of which reduces to what one of my professors in grad school called, "me, tooism." By this he meant: If this is my experience, the way I see things within the environment in which I live, it _has_ to be right, it _must_ be the norm with any differences experienced [or perceived] by others being variations to be discounted--because they are deviations. Your attacks are based on your perceptions, not on facts. There is no research to support your contentions.

If you really want people to respect, if not like, you in cyberspace, why not hang-out on the thread for a stock you do like? With a similar-minded group of people, sharing what you believe are your insights just might help you attain what you want. This is not the right thread. Rather than heed--or later recall--your words, people will get tired of your abuse and hit the 'ignore' button.

As the old saying goes: "One catches more bees with honey than with vinegar."

"Some of the cheerleaders here who don't see what is happening in the corporate marketplace are very arrogant about SUNW keeping its high PE"

You are accusing the Sun proponents on this thread of arrogance? Arrogance is the defining characteristic your messages. Look at how you mocked Thomas yesterday. You had no interest in actually discussing his points, instead you tried to make him look foolish. I highly respect Thomas' opinions. He helped convince me to stay with Forte in 98 when it was in the toilet. At that time there was a poster from Australia claiming Forte was doomed and every piece of data he could find he used to bash Forte. Thomas would rebut his arguments and said that we should consider Forte's prices in the $4-6 range an extended buying opportunity. Well, Thomas made a great call, and helped my portfolio grow to over $1,000,000.

What do you offer to anyone on this thread? "I invest for profit." No shit, so does everyone else. But unlike anyone else on this thread, you're not honest and more interested in boosting your ego than in actually discussing Sun's prospects. Again, you're a coward.

LOL! If its three strikes you're out, then
how can you be wrong on ALL FOUR PICKS from
your wednesday activity?

I haven't shorted SUNW because there are better
investments out there. EG yesterday I bought RMBS calls
(in profit by end of day), I bought MU puts (in profit
by end of day) and CDTS stock (let's not talk about
that just now).

There seem to be a lot of non-technical people on
this thread with money invested in SUNW. Some of the
cheerleaders here who don't see what is happening in
the corporate marketplace are very arrogant about SUNW
keeping its high PE. I see my posts here as a public
service and as a way to build credibility as and when
the majority of my assessments are proven correct
(I've been pretty accurate with SUNW so far).

Since then:
1) RMBS down 2) MU up 3) CDTS still down 4)SUNW up

I do this for you as a public service, Steven Lee,
so that in the future you will employ reason, logic
and persuasive arguments instead of swaggering about
your bets in the Casino.
