"You really don't want to sell puts unless you have the capacity to be "put" i.e. buy the underlying stock"

why do you need this? you can always close out your short by buying the put to close. if the stock is unexpectedly put to you, you can immediately sell it.

Well, I guess if my exposure is to buy back for ammount up to $2,000-$3,000 I will be O.K.
