AMR Completes Sabre Spin-Off

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AMR Corp. (NYSE: AMR - news), the parent company of American Airlines, completed its announced spin-off of Sabre Holdings Corp. (NYSE: TSG - news; Sabre) yesterday, by distributing more than 107 million common shares of Sabre to AMR shareholders.

The transaction took place after the close of business on Wednesday, March 15. AMR shareholders of record at the close of business on March 1, 2000 received 0.722652 shares of Sabre for each share of AMR owned on that date.

With the start of trading this morning, the price of AMR shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange will no longer reflect a holding in Sabre.

With the spin-off of Sabre and the previous sale of several other subsidiaries, AMR's sole focus will be on its American Airlines and American Eagle units.
