Bud, Would expect it to open at HK$8.80/US$1.13. CWAHF last closed on the HKSX @HK$8.80(US$1.13) and OTCBB @$1.14.

The HK$12.41 you refer to is the amount Lai Sun paid directly to CWAHF for shares. This was a "deal" not a trade on the Hong Kong exchange. (Stock swap??)

IMO Expect the looming Taiwan elections to still impact Hong Kong stocks. Elections are set for this weekend. The outcome of those elections, especially the election of a Taiwan pro-independence candidate, could mean continuation of volatility(lower) on HK and Taiwan stocks.

With all 5 deals now announced, suspension should be lifted and I expect CWAHF will trade when HK market opens next, unless Son has more deals up his sleeve.

Merry

O.T./ Good Morning, Bud Smith. 648 closed Monday in Hong Kong @HK$7.450(US$0.96), down HK$1.35 (15.34%), which is up from where it was at 12:30 HKTime.

Read a news item that Hilton wants to come back to Hong Kong. Think Son might sell him Lai Sun Hotels??

Be sure to check your Horrorscope. Mine says to be careful with investments (does that mean avoid Hong Kong?) and my husband's says his current relationship will not last ... That darn Horrorscope must know I spend my PA nights on Silicon Investor!

Happy reading, Merry
P.S. Don't forget to turn off the red light!
