You didn't grasp the point I was atempting to make, the statement by Hyundai shows that RDRAM manufacturers are experiencing far higher costs than many posters on this board have led us to believe........again

Hyundai VP:
Tabrizi said Hyundai is finding it nearly impossible just to break even on 128-Mbit Rambus DRAMs priced at $50, and that the economics make it hard to imagine a healthy future for the technology. "I can't get the same return on a wafer as I can with PC100 SDRAM, even when Rambus is priced three times higher," he said.

maybe Samsung can produce RDRAM more efficiently.....maybe not. My point is that it may be far more difficult to bring the price of RDRAM down to where it can compete effectively in the future. btw that article is only 1 month old
