JC - I agree that the "stability" argument is a very strange one - MSFT is almost saying that the previous product, which still generates the bulk of the revenue, must have been a real stinker when it was designed, since after more than 4 years of refinement and 6 service packs it's still no where near as stable as a brand new product with no track record. I agree with your point - they said the same stuff when NT4 came out, what great leap of technology allowed them to go an order of magnitude up the stability scale? It goes against common sense and the whole history of OS development - well really of any SW development.
