If Willy was as impressive as Intel tried to say at IDF, why did the judges give the prize to TBIRD. Apparently the judges weren't that impressed with Willy. Even if Willy shows up Nov. or Dec. , a lackluster performance improvement over Tbird along with Rambus could mean Intel will have to refocus on x-86 market or Internet.

For Assok Kreamers Q3 "roll out" to happen Willy would have to go from tape out to intro in 9 months. We both know what happens when chips are rushed to market. I believe your November estimate is much more realistic. Until then it's still smoke and mirrors as far as I'm concerned. AMD has product now and Thunderchicken and Spitfire on the way...in May... barring a screw up putting the cache on die, AMD will really start to pour it on... Intel will beg production to get to Willy...as the Floppermine is old and tired. Most of the paranoia here is Scumbria and Kash...then again, only the paranoid survive (TM Andy). Best thing for AMD is get a lot of paranoia...and diversify. Jim
