Is Cuba beautiful?

Oh my God yes!!! The most enchanting place I've ever been in my life. Columbus is quoted as having said upon his initial sight of Cuba that "it is the most lovely land that human eyes have seen."

But believe it or not, what is more incredible about the country than its geographical beauty is the warmth, charm, and humanity of its people. Absolutely incredible.

It is possible for foreigners to buy land legally at high prices through the Cuban fascist government. But not for U.S. citizens during the "yankee blockade." Many people, however, find Cubans in whom they can trust. This approach is very risky, though. Even the most trustworthy of Cubans are simply too tempted to improve their lives by betraying their foreign friends after having obtained houses that are so difficult for them to obtain on their own. I've seen way too many people get ripped off after having engaged in such adventurers as buying land in Cubans' names.

Porching now, but heading for the Havana Hilton.
