Sonny ---The name of the song " The Beat Goes On " fits the Clinton's . It sound very familiar on how Mrs Clinton time sheets from the Rose Lawn firm showed up by accident in the White House ( on a table after they had been asked for by Ken Starr and lost By Mrs Clinton ) .
The market was something today ---I guess that is part of the attraction other than making money . I am currently in Qcom ,Txn , Cnxt for now .I sold Wcom when it ran to fifty about two weeks ago . I wish I had pick up PCS at 44 about that time . I have the impression that Wcom will not moved much until the FON/PCS deal comes a little closer
Will follow up later

BEST WISHES
BILL

The Night Watch: What Better Stock for the Night
Watch -- Vivus Rocks the House
By Eric Gillin
Staff Reporter
3/16/00 8:04 PM ET

Someone get Bob Dole on the horn!

Right before the end of trading, investors got all hot and bothered about Vivus
(VVUS:Nasdaq - news - boards), a California-based manufacturer of
impotence fighting products. At 3 p.m. EST, the company announced that it
received a patent on a new cream that will help keep men like Dole out of
politics and in the bedroom. It works on the same chemistry as Viagra, using
phosphodiesterase inhibitors to keep men happy.

After the news hit the street, Vivus stock rose quickly,
ending with a gain of 2 3/32 to 8 23/32 on 5.9 million shares,
with the majority of that volume occurring in the final 45
minutes. That momentum carried over into the night session.
Vivus continued to get it on, gaining 5/16 to 8 15/16 on 1.2
million shares on Island ECN. Meanwhile, across town on
Instinet, Vivus was the second-most active issue with a gain of 11/64 to 8
29/32 on 127,000 shares.

The CPI was Good but I would be surprised to see the market
continue the rally after the blast the Dow enjoyed the last couple of days. The S+P futures which for the last few sessions have been misleading is down now over 8 and the Nasdaq is down 24. I was very disappointed to see that Microsoft failed to participate in the late Nasdaq recovery. The DOJ really screwed this stock for shareholders. I am afraid that the only hope for Microsoft is for a Bush Presidential victory. I don't think that he has the carma or the eloquence of Gore. Voters may not be inclined to change the party without a recession being at hand or unemployment to spike. For long as the Democrats make gestures for more hand outs or make promises to make a euphoric society to the poor they almost ensure their advantage at the polls.

Take Care
