Newbridge Co-Sponsors MPLS Summit

Newbridge and other industry leaders will be gathering in San Diego, California, March 20 and 21 to examine the
current state of MPLS technology. The conference, hosted by the IT-Telecommunications Division of
International Communications for Management Group (ICM), will bring together senior level decision-makers and
executives responsible for network infrastructure and operations.

Newbridge chose to sponsor this event because we believe that MPLS technology is going to be a major
contributor to the advancement of IP (Internet protocol) networks for business use. Businesses cannot operate
within a framework that is based on "best effort" service delivery. Through MPLS, IP networks can be enhanced
to deliver guaranteed service levels -- something that is critical in business to business and business to
consumer applications.

A technical expert from Newbridge will be presenting at the conference. The presentation, entitled "MPLS and ATM: Coexistence and Convergence", will
explore:

Can both MPLS and ATM effectively coexist on a switch?
Practical issues of interworking MPLS and ATM.
What are the implications of combining routing and switching?
What are some of the challenges for MPLS in implementing value-added services.

Newbridge will also have an information table and technology experts available for one-on-one discussions, so please feel free to drop by and visit us at any
time during the conference.
