dennis, ya new era -g-

securitytrader.com

I had the feeling that this zig/zaggy move down off the jan top was corrective, not impulsive, i overstayed my welcome on the nas short side a little, but i made a bundle today on "old economy" stocks.

The breakout is impressive, everything about it is impressive.

The oex came down and retested the breakout from last october and went kaboom.

The nyse made a double bottom into the inverted H&S pattern from october 98, while the advance decline line went kaboom and got so oversold it almost hit the 1994 low.

It looks like the bear market that started in July 98 is over.

dmp:

It's too early to tell. So far, they look like they may have bottomed, but I'd probably watch a bit for a while before committing money. I know you have a shorter time frame (intra-day) while I like buying support and selling resistance - easy stuff. Therefore, what I'm looking at probably wouldn't do you much good. ST's short-term NDX targets were hit (almost exactly) and it bounced, so...

Sure looks like the last two 10% ers:

DMP, it ain't nothing but a global LOTTO...

With a fun twist: we don't know when the drawing will occur.

Seriously, how many contemporary investors are asset/risk managing, such that some fraction goes to savings, to bonds,
etc. Real estate, maybe... but mostly into primary residence, not true asset allocation. But, then we should be 100% invested in equities, right? <g>

Sedative: secret decoder rings.. bull/bear bashing.. bubbleheads.. shadows/reflections of economic news.. global crisis [as opposed to?].. 21st Century WeatherMen.. and tales of old ladies, barbers and burrito makers.

As long as there's no LOTTO drawing, we can all dream.
Afterward, we can debate who skimmed the quintillion off the top.

Just having fun,
Alan
