The 2nd paragraph of the Snohomish Public Utility newsletter under the heading 'innovation' is of interest. The neat thing is only a solid oxide fuel cell system can produce the necessary useable waste heat to produce steam.

WATT'S IN THE NEWS Week of February 7, 2000 Innovation:

"Delphi Automotive Systems and Global Thermoelectric have successfully tested an integrated solid-oxide fuel cell system that will run on gasoline.

The Dunkirk Division of ECR Int'l. is working on home-based electricity generation using steam. The project is to create a self-powered heating system that would use low- or moderate-pressure steam to generate electricity to operate the systems own electrical components, as well as other household appliances and systems."

For what it's worth I e-mailed the CBC, it's sad that a crown corporation would go to extreme lengths to manipulate the news. The fact is that if a large public utility Stateside published Delphi/GLE gasoline fuel cell news, the CBC staff must truly be deaf, dumb, and blind. ( my apologies in advance to the truly handicapped.)

For the record the CBC did post this news on Dec.23/99. Why they chose to deceive the public last night is weird eh.
